HELP: Inter Cert 1973

Long shot this, but someone may be able to help.

I'm writing a book, set in 1973, and need to get hold of the Inter Cert exam timetable for that year. I will of course contact the Dept of Education press office, but not expecting to get what I need.

Any bright ideas on how I could source this information?

    Many thanks

Do you need the actual dates of each exam or just starting dates?
I'd say they probably started June 6th, 1973 with Irish.

You could try newspaper archives, but I don't remember so much fuss being made about the State exams in those days.

The exams were run by Examinations Branch, Department of Education in those days, not the SEC.

I'm looking for the actual dates of the exams. There's not much in the papers at that time. Main talking point in June 1973 was the introduction of multi-channel TV..

Many thanks for your help on this
