too many pubs to pick one. Best Irish pub is Biddy Mulligans, probably be a right craic in there. Just hit the city and go bar hopping. Tron is pretty cool for a quick snack and some beer.. Bar Salsa is like a shot bar so definitely stop off there too.

    Enjoy it *jealousy*

    Do none of the above!

Mulligans is crap, Tron is disgusting and Bar Salsa just reopened after being destroyed by a rowdy stag it's not exactly the most friendly place!

There's a new Irish bar called Malone's that's pretty decent and Finnegan's Wake which is around the corner from Biddy's is worth a shout.
The day of the match itself head to Haymarket and around Murrayfield to soak up the atmosphere.
Head to the Grassmarket one night but also hit George St, trendy spots bit expensive away from the usual tourist crowd.

The city will be absolutely buzzing so enjoy it.

Oh try and get to Princes St on the morning of the game, the visiting teams normally go for a morning stroll, saw the French team there last year.

My tickets came in the post last Wednesday for it can't wait!

Don't go to Edinburgh to drink in an Irish pub

Stay over the Old Town side, better pubs there. They've got some serious deals in the student bars. Best bet is a beer crawl, some great pubs in Edinburgh.

Are you serious? Haven't been over on a proper visit/session in more than a year but I found Mulligans to be good and used to get a serious breakfast in there, Finnegans was closed the last time I was there. Saying that I never stayed in the Irish pubs for long because that would make visiting Edinburgh pointless.

Was in Tron in November with a friend who's in college over there and I found the food is still the business and the beer too. Not a swanky place by all means but a decent place to have a bite to eat and a bit of banter.

Bar Salsa is great spot and very friendly. Everyone mixes with everyone because of the sheer lack of space in there. We met the French youth rugby team in their the last time and we had a right craic.

OP go on a pub crawl and you'll be fine. Lots of class clubs over there to finish off the night in too.
