I recently purchased a GPS tracker a G 204 for my car. All is working except I cannot get the GPS Tracker to communicate with my cell phone. The instructions say it must be a SIM compatible with either 2, 2.5, 2.75 G. My phone has a 3G. Can I purchase a 2G sim card? or is there another answer which someone may have come across previously why this may not be communicating. I would appreciate any help.

I bought a GPS tracker myself while back got a Three sim but didn't work cos they only support 3G.
I got a O2 prepay sim and that worked a treat cos it supports both 2G and 3G so you could give that a try.

moseyck, privateBeavis, I'm looking to install a similar device with a while. Do you still have the details of the reliable supplier you purchased the device from?

Also, did you have any problems installing the Device, was it a diy job or did you get help.

    thanks
