    Hi All

I have replaced my free to air sat box with a DM500. On my old sat box there was connection for RF out which lead to anther tv.

The DM500 does not have this connection and I was wondering is there a way I could sent the output to another TV ?

    Thanks

Or use cat 5 cable connected to the composite (Rca connections) and then a laptop to control the dreambox.

    Or

Just stream to a laptop and watch it on that instead of a TV?

Hi Snaps , could you explain this a little more ?- I don’t really understand it.

The modulator seems a good idea - how would the quality be on this?

The quality is spot on with the modulator. snaps is saying that if you put the ip address of the dreambox in the address bar of windows explorer you can watch whats on the box on your laptop/desktop through vlc media player. its a good option also if you have the box networked.

I see the dreambox has an lnb out. What about if I connect this to the lnb of the old sky box. Would this work ?

I use Dream Stream, works really good, I watch TV on the netbook anywhere in the house.

Try it and you'll be hooked.

If you do go ahead with it let us know how you get on.:)

Yes but you can only have 1 box on a time, one must be in standby

I downloaded it but it seems to be in a different language - any idea how to get it to English ?

This could be the best solution as I have a spare sky box. So how exactly would it work? Does the cable from the lnb out on the DM connect to the RF connection or the lnb on the sky box .

I use digisender with magic eye, beamed to a tv sitting on my bed while typin on the computer. Great for sorting out problems on the sat box while working the support forums. You can get that type of thing in Argos

Or you can use a dvd recorder/video recorder as a modulator to send the signal on to another room.

I dont use wifi. The microwave does, big time, in the kitchen.
Quote from another forum regarding digisender and WAN:

The answer to your question depends one one thing really... The proximity of your digisender to any "wireless client". By this I'm taliking about single computers fitted with a wireless NIC (network interface card). The proximity of your wireless router should not be a problem.
