It was a Ford Transit van. Not sure of milage, my husband bought it. Think the man we bought off buys vans from auctions and then resells them on. Just sick!!! We even had a mechanic with us. He is based near Tallaght.

He said tough luck really. He maintains he did not even drive it that much as he got it from an auction. Not much we can do about it now as paid him in cash. No comeback as far as we know. Just looking for engines now!!! Totally sick!!!

As a matter of interest, did you check the number of previous owners before you bought the van? There might have been something there to start alarm bells ringing. What did the mechanic have to say about it? I don't think the fact that he is based in Tallaght really has anything to do with it though!! Very bad luck and a bitter pill to swallow.
