I'm a 4th year civil engineering student and i have to do 12 weeks work experience during the summer before I go into 5th year. The plan is to head to Boston for the summer and hopefully get the experience over there because there isn't much chance here at the minute.

Anyway i'm wondering if anyone on here might have any contacts in civil engineering over that side of the pond? I'll have my J1 visa so i'll be ready for action come June.

Any advice on looking for that kind of work would be greatly appreciated as well. I know people are going to say head over and play a bit of football and that i'll make lots of contacts that way but i would really like to have a job lined up before i go.

    Thanks for any help.
