Who was MoM in the France Scotland game?

Don't have a link but he was interviewed by RTE for the MotM award so I'm fairly certain it was him. Should have been Parisse though.

Definitely him! He had the medal on after the match, you're owed money!

Yawn. Sob man of the match.

    How dull and predictable.

Does he get tired of this I wonder.

To be fair O'Brien did well considering he was up against Parisse. Didn't get enough ball though in my opinion. Hard to know who deserved MOTM. Toss of a coin really.

Definitely Parisse but it's tough to call those really attritional games.

I wouldn't go as far as saying a disgrace.....I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying a disgress:eek:. But yeh, Parisse was the best player on the pitch.

Medard was shown up on BBC, nearly sure it was him alright

MoM was Poite. The way he bossed the scrum for Italy was a masterclass.:D
A man of letters to boot.

If any Irish player deserved it (and they didn't) it was O Callaghan. O Brien was double teamed every time and though looked dangerous with the ball he was always coming from deep and easily stopped also soemone should mention the word "offload" to him and see if it sounds familiar.
Parisse and no 7 Zanni were outstanding.

S O'Brien, T Flood and M Medard were the MoM in the 3 games.

Easily stopped? He made more yards than any other forward by a long shot. He made more yards than the tight 5 combined and made double the amount of yards of his two flankers combined. O'Brien being double teamed means hes creating space and I don't think O'Brien needs to be told the word "offload" considering he has set up many tries for Leinster by his offloading. O'Brien was also the second highest tackler on the team. O'Callaghan didn't deserve MOTM for the simple fact that he made a pathetic 5 metres with ball in hand. O'Brien almost equalled O'Callaghan in tackles and made an astonishing 10 times more yards. O'Brien was by far the most effective forward for Ireland and he did all that coming against the best 8 in the world on his 6 Nations debut. I couldn't think of a player anymore deserving of MOTM under the circumstances.

Fair enough but to compare a no 4 and an 8 in metres carried is hardly fair, how much lineout ball did O Brien disrupt? yes daft question. I thought O Brien did well enough but offloading and creating tries for Leinster doesn't mean jack in relation to Saturday. He was targetted with ball in hand and thus opened up alot of gaps, if he looked for the offload we might have made some breaks. Maybe the Kidney gameplan was more conservative than what we saw against the All Blacks last year.
In reality he came from deep with ball in hand made the yardage, got tackled , went to ground and Italy fanned out again. If someone was on his shoulder to receive a pass or to pick and go around the fringes then it could have reaped dividends.
I'm not making this a provincial issue because in reality Munster have been playing this way i.e rubbish for the past 2 years under McGahan. Maybe Leamy and Wallace were not fast enough to keep up with O Brien and Heaslip , Ferris would be better at following the break.

There wasn't anyone for him to offload to normally. He was also playing off static ball a lot rather then coming in for the offload off the scrummie's shoulder. So it wasn't just that others weren't keeping up with him cause he wasn't looking for the offload like he normally does either. I can only assume it was the gameplan, but I don't get it.

Wasn't the MOM decided by the Italians?
