    Hi Guys,
I have an itunes issue I could use your help on.
When I update my itunes software to the next version it wipes all my music. It all started when I changed my itunes media folder to the D drive rather then the C drive. I changed this is preferences and advanced. Now whenever I update the software it wipes my music because it changes the default folder to the C drive rather then the D drive.
This is very fustrating as I then need to add all the music into itunes which takes a very long time.
My C drive is too small to keep all the music in it so I do want to use the D drive.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them or know how to stop this from happening?

Hold down the alt key and open iTunes. It should then ask you to choose your library. Browse to your library on your d drive and bobs your uncle.

You could also put a shortcut to the media folder in the default location ? That should stop it happening again I think. Not a Windows user but I think the theory is sound :) (pun intended)

    sorry to bump the thread.

but my itunes after each upgrade version i download seems to delete several songs, there still on my ipod and i can listen to them perfect but when i go to listen to them on itunes through my laptop it says file cannot be found and a little ! mark is on the left hand side next to the song.

is this because some of these songs were downloaded through limewire etc or what?

    cheers

use the search function in windows, just type the name of the song and it should find it
