I have an internet radio and am looking for a Christian radio channel that would suit my needs. I'm not so much interested in listening to music rather bible teaching, mass, sermons or general chat and advice. I'm new to this forum and have never really been interested in religion before until lately so I'd be grateful for any recommendations.

The best I have found at the moment is Calvary Chapel Radio and it's good but I'm curious is there something better since I have a world of choice with an internet radio. Thanks :)

Advice, stay un-interested in religion and dogma and legalistic non-sense.

Get interested in faith, a relationship with God and following Christ.

Will be the best advice anyone ever gives you.

p.s. Spirit is Ireland's only Christian Radio station.
We are the last country in the EU to grand a Radio licence for a religious operator.
    It's inter demoninational.

I know there are a lot of Catholics involved, a lot of pentecostal christians and a fair few Anglicans/Methodists/Prysbs.

    It's a good station.

I couldn't possibly recommend Unbelievable? enough. It's a weekly broadcast between 2+ guests (usually Christian and non-Christian) who debate a particular topic. There is a 3-year podcast back-catalogue available so loads to keep you interested. The programme is part of Premier Christian Radio which I personally haven't listened to.

You might want to check out the resource sticky at the top of the thread for some other audio recommendations.

While I haven't had time to explore the content, I've recently come across the following sites which seem promising.

http://apologetics315.blogspot.com (a wealth of debates, lectures and sermons found here)
    http://ondemand.duke.edu/category/religion
    http://www.wheaton.edu/wetn/index.php
    http://www.yale.edu/terrylecture/past_00-04.html

In terms of individuals speakers, I personally like anything by the following.

Os Guinness (loads of talks available at the Veritas Forum)
Tim Keller (check out the 50 or so podcasts available on iTunes and here)
Don Carson (While I don't particularly enjoy his style of speaking, he is a really knowledgeable chap. Link is to an excellent 14-talk overview of the Bible story and what it all means.)
    Tom Wright
    Ravi Zacharias

I'm not so much interested in listening to music rather bible teaching, mass, sermons or general chat and advice.

Eastern Orthodox Ancient Faith Radio has two separate broadcasts: one is music and the other is talks. They also have podcasts and some lectures, interviews, etc in mp3.
