What is the best e reader? Is it true you can only read books from where you bought the reader i.e, buy from amazon with amazon reader etc?

Well I have the sony prs-600 etouch, I can use a variety of different formats like PDF and ebook, you can also find programs to convert the different formats.

All I can say is I think it's great, the only thing I find is because you're not phisically moving pages a poor book can seem like an eternity.

no, no wifi or anything, yes I find it smooth, turning pages can be done on the touchscreen with a finger swipe or using one of the buttons, of course there's many little faults you wish you had like the ability to change contrast and bits.

Now not having wifi and stuff doesnt bother me cause I never had it and I know I would never use it even if I had, there are plenty of threads here that are about little things people hate about their sony/kindle etc, and you'll find the same no matter which one you choose, I'd personally compare just thees two things:

    1. What type of books would I download and read

    &

    2. Which of two main online bookstores (Waterstones & Amazon) carries the most books and the kind of books I like
