device resprings alot?

Have a JB iphone 4 4.1 device which is a replacement for my last one(power button problem).

Anyways, I've JB the replacement using limer1n, but if I shake the device slightly or it starts ringing it resprings? As in the logo comes up for about 5-7 seconds.

Really annoying if this happens when someone is calling you.

Anyone know what I could do to fix it....apart from unjailbreaking :cool:

as in uninstall and reinstall? I'd lose all my tweaks/apps etc I presume?

I'm having the same problem. I'd advise downloading crash reporter from cydia, might help you pinpoint the problem. It hasn't for me, but you may be lucky. Keep us updated.

Sounds like an Activator problem maybe, is there any updates in cydia?

My iP4 has actually been respringing/crashing alot lately too, also on 4.1. There has been a few updates to Activator over the past week, maybe it's just a bug. Only other thing I updated/installed was BiteSMS. The main app and also QuickReply have been causing a respring since updating to 5.1 final, although all the 5.1 betas worked perfect. Strange.

Am restoring to 4.2.1 right now though so maybe that will solve it?

Updated activater in cydia and the problem has gone thank god. Was really annoying there for a while.

Do you have biteSMS installed?

I do, and now that you mention it, it seems to happen most times after I send a text.

never had any bitesms trouble. Don't think I could survive without bitesms....so handy compared to the default app.
