    Howdy guys

I know that there are some regulations in existance, providing that screens in the workplace have to have radiation screens or that i'd have to provide protective glasses.

Could anyone link it as i can't find it.

Also, would it be still applicable, since technology has moved on and lcd screens hae radiation close to 0?

Just on a side... There are some radiation ratings and certificates, or some screens woukd have a build in radiation filters. An idea how to check those?

    King regards
    Mstq

Radiation is simply a means of transferring energy, all forms of light are radiation.

The kind of radiation that is dangerous is ionising radiation, it has a wavelength of around 1nm or lower. The radiation in a computer screen is in the visible spectrum (400-700 nm). It is not dangerous.

There may of course be health and safety regulations regarding appropriate lighting and breaks for a computer screen in terms of protecting one's eyesight but these have nothing to do with radiation.

Isn't there something about providing protective glasses / screen filters when necessarily? That's that I want to find out - When it is necessary.

    Protection from what?

I am a glasses wearer and I do get anti-reflective coating on my lenses as I find it less straining on my eyes.

    go down to "health".

So there is no law provision that requires suppliement of protective glasses nor filter screens, correct?
