Not sure if this one would be easily answered or not.

I got my 1st mortgage around Dec2000/Jan2001 for a RoI property, but took it out in NI and in sterling (First Trust Bank).

In 2005 I remortgaged the house to get a € mortgage, changing my lender to AIB in the South.

I do remember getting TRS ok, although it was wiped out in one of the Budgets a year or two back. I used to get a figures around €60-€70 per month, before it went to a flat rate of €50, then the Budget cancelled it out. I think the change in whatever Budget that was said that anyone who has had their 7yrs of mortgage relief would get nothing.

Thinking back now though, did I only get4yrs or so of TRS (from 2005 -> 2009?). Would I not have been entitled to 7yrs? Or would I have got some form of TRS on my sterling mortgage?
