The beauty of a farlek session is it can be whatever you want it to be, structured on or non structured, just adapt to your surroundings.
So you can run to a time after a warm up, 30 secs hard, 1 min etc, run hard past 2 lamp posts or to the next tree. I find them great in a group where you take turns to call the interval, sometimes you know it's to the the next corner and sometimes you have to wait until the lead calls it.

Can be anything you want, depends what you looking to work on, you can have longer reps shorter reps. I've done session form 20 mins to nearly an hour..
