Is it just me or is anyone else getting a bit fed up with UFC fight cards,Seems like as in UFC 126 were we have 11 fights there is 15 USA fighters 3 Brazilian's and the rest is made up of fighters that will attract a Japanese and British audience. Pride was a show as well as the UFC in its early days I use to enjoy because the fighters would give it there all but most of the fights the UFC have on it now I could easily find myself if the option was there to fast forward them.

I think Pride was also a lot more violent and open than UFC because the rules were different. In UFC many fighters are very cautious because even with a granite chin they can get submitted or even with excellent escape ratio's they can still get knocked out etc. Not to mention the pressure they're under to keep their contract going and gain extra money for wins etc I'm not surprised.

The sport is only going to get bigger and more mainstream for the time being. Not all UFC fights are good, not all UFC cards are good. But you're guaranteed one good fight per card (in my experience there's always one or two) because of all the potential combinations of fighters out there.

I generally find that the lighter the weight the better the fight (with exceptions). The crowd boo when there's not much action but the fact is that these guys are all top of the food chain when it comes to martial arts. My point is UFC fighters are all highly, highly trained and that the fights are very tough for them, even with the new guys coming in with no records against similar people records. Give them a break, UFC shouldn't come down to how good the card is or how good this months show was, there'll always be bad and good ones, so just enjoy the ones that are good and f*ck the ones that are bad.

What does it matter where the fighters are from?

And as for complain about 126, LOL LOL LOL LOL, are you serious?? It's one of the best cards in ages, anyone with ha;f a clue about MMA can see that.

huge main event, two great fights and very interesting fights to back it up, and a the rest of the fights all such good quality that there is serious case for a lot of the undercard to be shown on the main broadcast,

basically, 126 was a terrible example

It's a US organisation hosting an event in the US. So, for the ease of transport/visa's as well as selling PPV's, American fighters are more desirable. When they hold a show in England, the vast majority of fighters are English, and when in mainland Europe there are always alot of European fighters. It's just easier.

Never mind the fact that the talent base on a mid-high level in the US and Brazil is larger than anywhere else in the world.

No, there was a slight hint of sarcasm in that part, but I dont think in general the cards are as exciting as the older show

I think 126 is one of the best cards in years, also brazillians and americans dominate because there traditional/national sprots BJJ/Wrestling are two of the biggest aspects of MMA. The fact that the UFC is American also has a big factor here too i guess.

I think now that the lighter weight classes are being embraced and MMA is steadily gaining poularity in Ireland/Europe we will see more Irish/Euro fighters getting into the big time, theres alot of boxing talent in Ireland and i think over the next few years alot of the irish fighters will take advantage of this.

Theyres American, english, mexican, japanese and brazilians on this card. Its an amazing card, I really dont see what the problem is to be honest  Dont see the point comin on here bashing the ufc and big upping Pride. Tonights gonna be a great night, the cards are amazing lately in my eyes but then again I dont need to see GSP and Brock lesnar on every card to make me happy unlike a lot of people.
