ok so i'm a final year TCD psych student and I really want to pursue a PhD in some area of cancer research. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what the structured PhD is like? is it difficult to get into? is it difficult once u get into it? what are the lecturer's like? any info would be great.

Is it NUIG you want to get into? Jane Walsh is the PhD in Health Psychology co-ordinator, so you could contact her for information.

http://www.nuigalway.ie/psy/phdhealth.html is the link to the course information and her email is at the bottom.
