I am getting married during the summer in Leitrim and I am looking for a good florist in Carrick-on-shannon or near by. One who can offer me a good price and something a little different.


If anyone has any experience of any I would love to hear

Any advice welcome.

Congratulations on your up coming wedding. Wish I could do it all again!!!

I would suggest that you go in and have a chat with Chrissie and Cathy in Eden flowers, just across from the library I Carrick on shannon. They are fantastic. Anytime I pass the shop I always want to stop and go in. The Window displays are amazing, flowers always fresh and they do lots of kooky bits and pieces. The Valentines window is sooo Coooool, builders blocks with roses!!!

Both are lovely to deal with and price wise really good. I know a number of people who have used them over the last year and are all chat about how good they are.

Give them a buzz or even better just call in and have a look at the shop and see what you think.

Have PMed you both but just getting round to replying now on baords.

I went with Eden in the end. Loved the shop and the staff are lovely so all booked and on the countdown to the big day is on, cannot wait!!! The cost of the flowers was about the same as the other one in town but a lovely twist on everything with Eden. Hope they turn out nice on the day.

I am looking around for a florist in Carrick or near by. I spoke to a lady who works from home but was not kean, went to the places in boyle and Drumshambo and it was all very Meh, not overly helpful to working within a budget. Had then spoken to Geraldine in Floradale was was planning to go with her when I read your thread. She seems very nice and helpful

Went into Eden for a look around and got some flowers just to see what the service was like. A blond English lady was serving and seemed nice, Friendly but not overbearing. I looked around but didn't ask about wedding packages. Will pop in a few times to get a real feel for the place.

Would it be possible Ireland AM to see some pictures of your flowers and maybe chat to you? Not sure when your wedding is. Think if we get a good package will go with them. Nice buzz in the shop. Liked the lady and the flowers I got where first class. Mum also went in for a look and liked what she saw.

Anyone else got any reviews on Eden? How would you rate them

When I got married Eden where not open but I do buy flowers for them all the time and the girls are great. I Love having fresh flowers and get a bunch weekly from them and they always do up something lovely for me. They do some fab arrangement. I have seen what they did for one bride who was having a small wedding and it was beautiful. They matched the flowers to match the brides dress.

They also do flower arranging hen parties which would be very cool and great fun when the cocktails are added!!! Cathy and Chrissie would be a right howl and make the class fun.

Cathy was waiting for me at the church and fixed my veil and wished me good luck. She maid sure all the buttonholes sat right on the bridal party jackets and that the flower girls held the flowers right.

I could not rate Eden for wedding flowers higher. Fantastic flowers, service and staff..

Would you mind telling me how much you paid and what you got? We need to keep to a budget. Did you get flowes for the church as well and what flowers did you go for?

I have heard mixed reports about the prices. I want to be able to go in with a plan and price and know that they will supply what I want for that price and no hidden costs. The shop is lovely and have got a few things in it in the past.

Lovely that the lady turned up at the church to help. That is a real plus point. Knowing my man the buttonhole would be on upside down!!

Has anyone here used Norma Duignan? If so what did you think. How was the prices and what kind of range of flowers did she do?

we are going to go with Eden for our wedding flowers. Go in with a open mind and just chat to them. Tell them how much you have to spend and see what they come up with. We just have to firm all up but are happy to go ahead
