bmw e46 m3 alternator or m3 for breaking wanted

looking for a e46 m3 alternator,new or second hand,or a cheap place to buy a new 1, an info would be great or
any 1 know any 1 that has an e46 m3 for breaking, or a scrap yard where there is one,badly stuck for an alternator and dont want to give 450 to bmw for a new 1

I don't think there would be a specific alternator for the M3, but I could be wrong. Did you check the part numbers on real oem? the same alternator is probably used on lots of different models.

You'd be best off getting a reconditioned one, the likes of myles balf in phisbrough would supply these if your in dublin

ring ac car sales or a bmw dealership and they will tell you if the m3 ones are different from the other 3 series ones, if they arent, you should pick one up cheap enough from scrap yard here, or from the uk... also I can recommend a very reasonable, reliable mechanic if you need one...

what's gone in the alternator? It might just need carbon brushes.

If it's the regulator, diode or a bearing, just get a recon...
