Think there is a thread on here about this winter.. prob loads of info in that one..

    But from my own experience..

We went in September.. Booked a holiday rental for 4 weeks.. Was great for a base to work out of..
We got a place in Bayshores.. 10 min walk to Creekside gondola or 10 mins on bus to whistler village.. Creekside is a good place to live, few bars, shops and stuff.. Buses run late to and from the village!
We were lucky with our landlord.. got the house through an agency.. cheap enough.. Heard of people paying up to 800 a month for a shared bedroom!!!
Accom is hard to get!! Check out the Pique newspaper..
Jobs are hard to get too.. you have to get out there early..

Best paid are bars and restaurants.. Real tipping culture out there!! Work for the mountain and you get a free pass and possibly staff accom!
I worked in a clothes shop in the village.. was grand.. no late nights and they paid for half my ski pass.. good hours and commission too!!

Summary; Get there early, have plenty of savings, and be really confident and bubbly when looking for jobs!!!

    Have fun.. Whistler is class!!!
