okay i did DCM last year in 3:08:57 which i was happy with as i did it the year before in 3:29...i did the dungarvan 10 mile last week in 65:19

my main to objectives this year is to do a good 10 mile time in balllycotton and have a crack at breaking 3 hours in the marathon, as i will probably emigrate before the dublin marathon i am thinking of doing cork in june instead.

what i am not sure about is how to get the best results for both....i used the p&d 18 week up to 55 mile last year for the marathon, but because the two races are only 12 weeks apart im not sure of what way to get the best from both..or can i? will ballycotton help me get a sub 3 or get in the way....and if i went over 15 mile lsr before ballycotton would it hinder 10 mile training? what kind of ballycotton tiime would keep me on course for a sub 3?
ballycotton is only 4 weeks away but i am not sure what way to train for it, with marathon training it was, recovery, aerobic, tempo or speed, long run each week.....for the four weeks i was thinkin of alternating each week between tempo and intervals, a long run at the weekends 14/15 miles , and a few easy runs at 75 sec above 10 mile race pace, and some recovery runs in evenings...........
but i am thinking maybe i should do a tempo and a interval session each week, or is this too much?
jesus i am getting more confused the more i type..okay im stopping now...any opinions and advice would be appreciated :)
