Don't forget the team manager. Boards poster. He is also giving up his time to support the lads. Go fat-tony

Another good day. Same result of 574 for Paul O'Boyle, with Ray Kane raising his game to 578. Very nice indeed. This competition is looking very successful at the moment. Peter's sitting around the same level as yesterday, but the second half of his match was much stronger, so hopefully he'll have a very good one tomorrow now. Strong results all around.

Just to note that Northern Ireland's Robert Doak made the final with 570 in the men's AP. Watching it live now.

Robert Doak finished in fifth, same place he entered the final. I thought he was going to catch up the two USAMU shooters ahead of him though at one point. Good result, 100.0.

583 for Ray today. From strength to strength! I think that's his best international result, so he can be justifiably very proud indeed. Looking forward to seeing him in good form in Munich now! Very well done indeed.

On the last day Ray was building a stunning group in his second string when he noticed a crowd gathering behind him. The unfortunate result was that it put him off and he threw an 8, but recovered well to finish the string with three 10s. Here's a screenscrape of the string:

Here are some of the photos I took during the events of Peter, Paul and Ray. Some moments of quiet concentration, and an Aussie stance that caught my eye!

Great photos fat-tony. Looks to have been a big success.

Thanks. Paul and Peter both benefitted from Ray's coaching tips during the comps. Paul did some adjustments to his MEC stock (lovely piece of kit!) to help bring his left shoulder around. Peter is working on his alignment with the target and is going to build on this in training. Overall, a very successful trip. The NI pistol team performed very well, with a second team place on Day 3. Robert Doak consistently scored well, getting into the final on Day 2 with a score of 570. He then scored 100.0 in the final, which was the highest decimal score, but was 1.5 off the score necessary to get into 3rd place.

By the way, it's not official yet, but according to my records, that's the new Irish International Record for Men's Air Rifle. Previously set by Declan Kelly at 579 in Lathi (Finland) during the 2002 World Championships.

So Ray might be annoyed by the 8, but should be consoled by the record :D
