    Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the significance is of a company's auditors resigning with "immediate effect"?

Can I read anything into this or is it normal practice?

In what sense? Would you say it's not common at all?

It's much more likely to be a dispute over an appropriate fee for carrying out the audit.

Or they could just be going audit exempt.

it could be any of the above.

If they quit for dodgy accounts reasons, there should be an accompanying notification to the Revenue, shouldn't there?

But it could just be an argument over fees or non payment of fees. You'd need to look into it more

    Yes

The auditor has to notify the cro that there is nothing that needs to be brought to the attention of the members of the company or the creditors.

isn't there a new body you have to notify as well as the CRO?
