I'm thinking of changing my car and was wondering what sort sort of money I would get for my own, its an 03 BMW 320i auto, 80k, 6 cylinder model. I paid near 10k 2 years ago. multifunction steering wheel. Cruise control, sports box. No leather, Serviced by a specialist friend of mine. Think that's all the factors for deciding price. It's a 2.2 and I can't seem to find any others like it for sale. Cheers.

I think you'd do well to sell that privately for €5000.

I sold an 01 320 a year ago (so 9 years old rather than 8) with a similar spec (though it was manual) for just under 4k, so 4-5k sounds about right. The 2.2 isn't great from a sales point of view, 900 to tax, insurance and running costs too, so you'd be looking for an enthusiast to buy it. Folks just wanting the badge will go for the 318, which is a pity IMHO).

    What are you buying?

    Is it an M-sport?

No its not an m-sport. I'm not fully decided on what to change for yet. Either a smaller engine or a seven seater are most likely. Depending on how much I could sell mine for and what was available i suppose. I think Yakuza is right though, the car is more suited to an enthusiast than a badge hunter. People seem to freeze at anything over a 2 litre.
