I've never seen something like this before and found it a bit baffling. I don't know the full history so it's a little hard to diagnose, but it's only a recent problem. A teacher was saying they had a problem with their interactive board and computer - that when typing into a Google search box odd things would happen. What happens is that the Window narrator/disability features seemed to could on by themselves which didn't make any sense as the teacher in the school uses them, plus teachers don't have admin privileges/can't use the Control Panel. MS One Note would also start jumping up, the Start Menu, you'd type 2-3 letters into Google and IE would minimize itself. I saw some of this and was peculiar. I took out Office and reinstalled it without One Note as they'll never use it.

We thought it might be something like a loose cable or dodgy keyboard, so we changed the keyboard. The machine runs XP and gets its Symantec client updates from the school server. I was thinking malware, but I don't know much about it. Usually, if there's a problem with the interactive whiteboards it's down to iffy USB ports so we simply try another and that brings it back. We've since given the teacher a different PC, but what could be causing some of the above - what may have started it?
