Crew Cab rules

    Hi all,
I have spotted a 1995 Hilux Surf Crew Cab that I am interested in. It has been converted to a Crew Cab, so must have been done before the rules changed. The DOE runs out in September so I am concerned that if I went to DOE it again that it would no longer qualify as a Crew Cab. If it was converted before the rules changed, will it always qualify as a crew cab, and how would I confirm that it was converted before the rules changed? Would it say it was a crew cab in the log book?
    Thanks in advance,
    S’doc.

my DOE place has a sign up -

Not on Logbook, doesn't have a partition then it isn't a crew cab.

that suggests that it should be on the book.

I didnt know that yould convert a normal 7 seater jeep to a crew cab, still have 2 rear passenger seats, and then only pay commercial tax??

So what is involved in doing this conversion??

And can it be done to any 7 seater private jeep, say like a landrover,Pajeo or a Cherokee??

    Thanks.:)
