ipod won't synch - too many tunes on pc

I have a 2gb ipod, I recently added about 4gb of music on my itunes library, problem is when I plug in the ipod it won't sync (it says it is syncing but when I unplug none of the new music has been added) I have a 16gb iphone that will synch no problem so I'm assuming it's because the ipod is only 2gb.

question is can you pick and choose what music you want to put on your ipod or does it have to synch everything in your itunes?

I have to say I find apple devices not very user friendly when it comes to adding music, unless I'm missing something. What's wrong with the click and drag for adding music that some of the cheaper brands use?

You can always unselect all the music you don't want to add to the device from your library.
It should be denoted by a a tick beside each song

And you'll have to select the "synch only selected songs" (or words to that effect) option as well as doing the above. You're library exceeds your ipods limit. Works out as roughly 1000 songs per 4gb of memory so select your songs accordingly.

Ok I'll give that a go, thanks.
