image does not load in IE

    Have an image uploader. Image renders fine in every other browser but Internet explorer [version 8] . Its some images that client is uploading. I've nailed it down the color profile/scheme of the image. JPEG / CMYK of some sort does not render.
    Even if you are to open the image directly with the browser.

    any thoughts? workarounds? use php to save as ?

    what youll find is some jpegs work fine and others wont
    after the image is uploaded you can try to read the image to get the metadata (not sure what language your using)
    If that fails then you can use imagemagic to convert it to a readable image
