Getting this on my 3GS. Charger is not an apple one.

Anyone else getting this? I can still sync with iTunes. I have rebooted the device.

apple changed the layout of the dock when they released the 3GS i think so some older cables wont charge them

    Back working now!!

Was working for the past few months..

Strange though...put it into the plug, got the message on the phone stating that it was not supported, put it into the laptop - reseated several times and tried different USB connections..no luck...did all of this a few times...now back in plug and is charging..

I had that problem, turned out to be fluff in the connector somehow blocking the contacts.

Cleaned out the socket and all is fine again. Shame that stupid dock socket hasn't a protection cover or something.
