It's sad but I s'pose not entirely unexpected, as Jack White has other bands now. :/

They're the ultimate band of the noughties!

Considering she could barley play the drums it's amazing they lasted as long as they did.

Had tickets for The White Stripes in LA in 2007. Cancelled by Meg due to stress. She had been featured in a (bad) homemade porn video days previously. I can never forgive that tramp now....

Hay, that's not bean nice. She was no cereal killer on the drums but I thought her playing was pretty s-wheat!

How do you know she was a terrible drummer? Sure, she played very differently to everyone else, that's a good thing, something most bands don't have. She had her own style that nobody else had. That makes her a great drummer.

How do you know someone is a terrible singer?

I went to see them many times, I have my own style of singing, e.g. I can't sing. that doesn't make me great or have a unique style, it means I can't sing.

christy brown had a unique way of playing football, he wasn't a great footballer.

Her timing etc was off not once or twice but numerous times during any set I went to see live, I'm sure i seen him give her a bollocking after a song she really made a mess of too.

I can't recall where but i'm pretty sure she has admitted it herself

Didnt they disband a few years ago too? Was delighted.
Havent heard much from them since and now they are finished for good? Didnt even notice them on the music scene lol.

really?? Her drumming was simple and boring tbh. Suited the style but a great drummer? A big no from me.
Of course everyone has their own opinion but I'd say your in the majority on that.

+1 on Meg White's bland drumming.

I don't get the White bashing around here. White Stripes have a fairly minimal sound and that's carried across in their albums. There's two in the band, two! Having her as a fantastic over-the-top drummer would unbalance the act. Style suits/suited the band fine.

Thread needs "Who's ****ter at drumming?" poll; Meg White or Lars Ulrich.

Sadface. Always quite liked these two. Though I oddly never felt the same about them since finding out they were just randomers as opposed to brother and sister -who started that myth anyway?!

I'll miss them big time, I don't really care what level their musicianship was at, they played the blues and not enough bands nowadays play the blues. And yes I think Meg in her own way is kinda hot! :)

Treme's pretty great, but I wish Steve Zahn would fall off a cliff or something.
