Unemployed. Depressed. What to do?

    Long-term unemployed now, and cannot emigrate due to family responsibilities here.

    Anyone got any advice on motivational groups for the unemployed in Dublin?


    I've searched the web in vain to find any gathering that meets to discuss ways of staying positive in the recession.

    Op, you do not need a place to discuss the negitivity that comes with being unemployed. Sadly its up to you to keep your head above water.

    I think by finding a place to discuss the issues you are keeping your head above water.

    OP- I am in very much the same situation as yourself and if you want to PM me maybe we can put our heads together and start our own group. All you need is a meeting place and more than one person.

    It cant be that hard. Let me know if your interested.

    Hey OP,

    Very same situation here.

    Its a crappy situation and I have been in recruitment before I got let go and I can tell you now you defo not on your own.

    I would be up for helping you out op if you want, got a little experience with recruitment if it helps.
