    hi !
    Firstly, sorry for my english
We are 4french friends and we would like to see ireland/france in a pub in dublin.. But as the stadium is far from the city center, where is the more sympathic to see the match on TV? Around the stadium? City center? Temple bar? Everywhere? We would like a good pub, quite cheap with a lot of people and without french or turist ;) is it possible? :)

And for the the third halftime? Maybe temple bar no? Wich pub is closing very late in night? At what time?

    Thanks a lot and "allez l'irlande" :)

The stadium is NOT far from the city centre. No more than 20-25 minute walk.
Any of the pubs around the area would be fine on match day. If you want a bit of space, try the Mount Herbert Hotel (now called the Sandymount Hotel) on Herbert Road for a start.
If you want cheap(er), try the Beggars Bush on Haddington Rd.

Searsons on Lower Baggot Street. Close enough to the stadium that a lot of people who are going to the match will be there before and after but still only a 10 minute walk from Stephen's Green in the city center. Very easy to find as well. Link

Anywhere near the area really. The French fans are great fun too.
I work at the internationals so those days are behind me, I think. Getting old. By the time I leave the stadium later that night, I'm bushed.

was in McSorelys in Ranelagh 2 years ago with a couple of French guys, had great fun and there was lots of fun abuse shouted at each other throughout the game. Its a lil further out but good all the same.

Sinnotts Bar just off the top of Grafton St. Has screens all the way up the bar, all decked out in six nations flags for every country and always a great atmosphere for matches

I'd second Searsons, bit pricey, but hey, it's Dublin! Full of wimmen as well... :)

also options of smyths, 51, waterloo, Beggars Bush, Slatterys a stones throw should a mini crawl be warranted, and also close to town / stadium.

unfortunately its a sunday, so late pubs will be limited, I think Hogans (near temple bar) and the Stags head (fantastic bar) stay open past midnight, but most will shut down at 11.30 (hey, it's Dublin) nightclubbing options are severly limited, Bernard Shaw is very very young / grungy but stays open and often has jazz / live music on sundays, they had a big screen up last year. Temple Bar prob best bet for later on.

O Neils on Suffolk street. Book the table upstairs near the toilets, ask for the taps to be switched on, watch the game in TV less then a 10 second dash from the loo, never leave for a pint, never miss much for a miss. Brilliant atomsphere.
