    Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get one of these?

    My plan is to try and pinpoint areas on walls and ceilings where heat might be escaping.

    Try an auto factor that supplies paint etc to crash repair place as well: these days they measure the temp of the metal before they spray it, and use a handy small non-contact thermometer to do it.
