So to cut a long story short, i'm a bit clueless!

    What do Eastdoc do?
    What are their charges?
Are they like an ambulance service? A GP? An advisory service?
If i need medical help outside of my Gp's hours is eastdoc a cheaper option than a trip to A&E?

Anyone who can shed a little light on this for me will be greatly appreciated!

Eastdoc is an out of hours GP service. The scheme operates on the basis of a group of GPs coming together and, on a rota basis, will provide an emergency out of hours service, mostly at week-ends only. The tel no. is normally a free or lo-call one and you will be talking to a Triage Nurse when/if you call. The information you give her will determine whether they can get a GOP to you or you should go to A & E. I probably have left out some info, but I hope you get an idea of what it is.
