Metal for engagment ring

My future wife wants to create her own engagment ring. Her brother gave her some gold bars to be melted down to use. Does anyone know any jewelers that will mels metal and make the ring? Do jewelers mind people bring there own metal.

i think there's a bespoke jewellery place in rathcoole or nearby. I'll get back to you tomorrow.
