Does anyone know what the new cameras installed this evening on the tivoli flyover by silversprings hotel are for, they cover both inbound and outbound traffic, so people beware ,maybe there part of the new speed camera system or they might be for a traffic survey !!!

Also on Cork - Dublin, 2nd bridge past glanmire turn off, covering all lanes.
Using laser, nobody was with units on the bridge. More then likely counting cars, I hope.

    Monitoring traffic maybe?

they could be speed cameras as far as im aware that area is where it drops from 100km/h to 50km/h really quickly and cars never slow down there.

but then that area is also really bad traffic wise, so it could just be a traffic watch camera so the traffic monitors can keep an eye on it without having to drive through there.

They are sophisticated using laser to detect the car, possibly speed aswell.
The fact the units could be accidently damaged probably means they are surveying road usage or future fixed speed camera sites.

Cameras are gone from the bridge at the Glanmire exit of Cork-Dublin road as well. It probably was just a traffic survey, don't they have to put signs up if they're putting up speed cameras?
