    Well basically I just downloaded it so I'm new to the whole program, but how on earth do you get rid of the box surrounding my text? it's quite annoying..

    You will have to give us some more information.

    Which program are you using: Calc, writer, impress?

    Is the text box there always or just when you are typing?

    Also, which version are you using?
