Double feeding and loss of pressure

I have taken my VFC SCAR appart about 16 times now at this stage, and i dont know what i can do differently.
I took it appart to swap out the stock plastic bushings and plastic spring guide.
I have put the gearbox back together, after shimming, and regreasing, setting the gear timing etc.
The gun cycles fine but it double feeds, pellets drop about 5 meters from the barrel. I read that this could be a shimming problem so i have reshimmed about 10 times. This caused a few lock-ups.
I even bought a new gearbox shell for it because i thought the other one may have gotten bent when i pushed in the new bearings, still no luck (and the new shell is 8mm so my 7mm bearings dont fit!! FML)
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Moving and or miss-aligned hop-up chamber could be your problem also.

Is the air nozzle sitting right on the tappet plate?

Press the air nozzle in and it should spring back out if it is:)

Hop up looks 100% to me.
Its like the air nozzle is not returning to its fully extended position or something. So i have lubed the rails which the tappet plate runs along and checked the spring tappet spring isnt catching.

I rechecked the hop up chamber and the body screws on the side were stopping it from seating fully back onto the nozzle! It seems to be working fine now. Thank you, really appreciate it :D

was about to say that! Most common reason for the double feeds and floppy bbs is mis seated hops, more common with newer designs where the unit can slide... g36s, aks, and scars deffinately \:P
