    I need to find somewhere I can get them free. Project Gutenberg looks good, I will need stuff that's a lot more recent as well though. Critical theory readers, cultural theory readers and stuff on research methodologies is what I can't seem to find...

    Yeah, if it's recent, unless the author and publisher have elected to give the material away, you're not going to get links to it here.

    Have a look at the free books on the web sticky thread - it's the designated thread where people post links to legitimately free books.
