    Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good irish dance act as part of a wedding reception? How much does it cost and how long does the act last? Thinking about having something like this at my weding, but finding it hard to get any information! Maybe it's a recession thing?! Anyway, thanks in advance for the replies...

Would it be Irish dancing as in Riverdance or would you be interested in Sean Nós dancing as in old style Irish dancing? Let me know as I have details for a couple of dancers who were at my cousins wedding and put on a Fantastic show,it lasted between 10 to 20 minutes, not exactly sure as I was a little tipsy.Pm me for details if you're interested!

There is mysticforce.ie...I think he quoted me €450 for 5 dancers and €750 for 8 dancers  both packages last 25-30 mins. (Based in Galway)
I haven't decided if I will go with it or not yet, I am in two minds about the whole Irish dancers at a wedding, or any dancers to be honest. My fiances sis had fire dancers, and I think maybe the whole entertainment at a wedding is getting a bit out of hand. Not sure if I will bother I think I may prefer to put the money towards the honeymoon or something!

Thanks SSFG, That's really good to know! I think 5 dancers would be plenty, I know what you mean about being in two minds about it but I'm still at the shopping around stage, so keeping my options open! Thanks again for the reply.

Celtic Dance Fusion were at a wedding i was at last weekend. Were far better than the band, got the crowd going more. Not sure that's saying much for the band or a lot for the dancers :)

Two of my nieces friends did the dancing for us as a 'wedding present' and they were absolutely amazing. She's an all ireland champ and he's danced with her for a long time and one of her best friends... It only lasted about 10 minutes I reckon but it was definitely more than enough to liven everyone up again and leave you wanting much much more. Contact schools and see if they can recommend anyone. I'm sure the ones with websites are just having but there are plenty of talented kids more than capable of performing at a wedding for a fraction of the cost... unless you're after a whole troupe?

As said above Celtic Dance Fusion are very good, in saying that I would spend the money on the honeymoon (but thats just me :))
