First Strike Download Problem

I'm having trouble getting the new map pack as it says this content is not available in your current region.

I'm using my Irish xbox with a UK copy of the game as I'm currently living there.

Is there anyway at all to be able to download them without setting up a new UK account? If so it's absolutely ridiculous.

It says it is for use with English version which makes me think they may release a version for the rest of Europe later

i've tried both but buying it through my xbox it just says "this content is currently unavailable in your location" and when i go to buy it through xbox.com it says oops you've found a glitch in the system.....

had no joy with my uk account and cause its only a silver won't allow me to log into the cod store.After loads of attempts decided to add points to main account and downloaded no prob.

Does that mean that you can only use it with that account? I'm wondering if I create a new account and buy it then will I be able to use it with my main account?

Still no luck with this!

Does anyone know if I set up another account on my xbox and bought the content through that would I be able to use it on my regular account?

Only other option is to post the HDD home and get someone to download it for me.

I'm at my usual address and still get an error about my location even though I can download anything else....it might be a server issue/overload as there is always issues when new packs are released, although my neighbour and just all of the people on my friends list have managed to download them.

No once its downloaded to the xbox , any account on that xbox can use it, however if your xbox breaks and you get a new one , only the account you downloaded it to will work , to get around that you will nedd to log in with the account you d/l the maps to and your main account.

So if i download it on an account that is able to on my xbox can i still play on my other account? (the account that cant download it)

ok lads a mate of mine had the same problem and this is how we got round it. (he is in england with irish xbox by the way) only works if you know and trust someone in ireland on xbox live.
1.you have to give them your xbox account so they can recover it to their console
2.they buy the maps and download them to their console using your account.
3. you recover your account back in england
4. just download maps again. works like a charm.

People on the xbox forums who have tried this have been having problems when trying to redownload though, apparently it reaches 99% before giving an error.

It seems the final % of the download checks your IP and if it's not the right region then the error occurs.

I have a few friends of mine who I could get to do this, but I'm wary of losing the points as I doubt I'll get a refund.

yea my mates went to 99 percent and stayed there for about an hour and a bit and then finished sorry i should have mentioned that. but just in case try it at your own risk. im not being held responsible. just sayin it worked for him.:D

Finally got them, i just add a new gamertag with a month free trial and downloaded them on it works with any account on my xbox.

Feck, my points are on my normal account I guess I'll have to buy another set so.
