Wouldn't be much use to me if I didn't!

I wouldn't take it out on the street if someone asked me the time or whatever though.

If you dont want to bring it outside, then what is the point in having it .. kinda goes against the idea of a mobile device!!

Phones being lost or stolen is not unusual. Bit of savvy and luck and you shouldn't have it stolen, bit of care and you shouldn't lose it.

I do, would beat the purpose of me having one if I didn't! Im way more careful of it than my old phone though, always try to put it in a zip pocket so it doesn't fall out or hold it in my hand in my pocket!

when i first got it i was ridiculously cautious, i went looking for a strap to tie it onto me so if it was taken from my pocket you'd have to take me with it too!

that lasted about 2 weeks, and i treat it like any other phone now.

actually, I attach mine to a cable that connects to my wall so I don't lose it.

I keep mine in a case in the glove compartment of my car. Then I have a call divert set up to my trusty Nokia 6210i.

It's safe there as the car never leaves the garage......those roads are busy out there!

Hell, I don't even take mine out of the box.

Thank heavens for voice dialing and Bluetooth.

I wouldn't bother with the iPhone if I were you especially if you're going to have all that hassle with bringing it out with you.

You could always consider purchasing one of those snazzy phone cases with the chain and handcuff so you can attach it to your wrist.

The only thing with the hancuff is that it may signal that you have something more valuable in your pocket and encourage someone to borrow your iphone on you. ;)

Ah sure you may only run the risk of someone disconnecting one's wrist from the body and then the iPhone is away.

Maybe best to avoid the iPhone in the first place methinks. :D

I generally leave my house naked. So I dont have anywhere to put my iPhone. You see my clothes and shoes are "not worth losing"

same here...if someone tries to take my phone I stick it between my cheeks and swing my c0ck at em screaming "stay back or you'll get it"!!!

Considering I've dropped two iPhone 4's down the toilet, I don't think it's safe to bring them inside either.

Now that actually makes sense......apart from losing I have seen lots of smashed screens from people who drop phone during a Drink Dial Session.

Also, this is the funniest thread I've ever seen on Apple Media Devices Board.....I wonder if OP is just winding us up!

Fúck your iPhone 4, i've a Nokia outside!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,894 ✭✭✭evad_lhorg

I have a friend who doesnt bring it out on nights out. But saying that when he gets pissed he likes to throw his phones when he has arguments with his bird or whatever. Hilarious seeing a phone smash into bits but theyre usually crappy phones that will just go back together fine. So for him it makes sense.

I have no problem taking it out on the street or whatever. I haven't heard a phone being swiped out of someones hand story in about 10 years. All the knackers have phones now. thats the difference

i just ordered and paid for an Ipad from the apple store but i requested they never deliver it to me , for fear it gets lost on the way.

Having had my old phone stolen from me during the summer by a knife weilding scumbag in Stephens Green at 6 in the evening, I'm quite cautious.

If leaving my girlfriend to Busaras for her bus home, I'll just take my sisters old pink sony erricson since it's not the best area to be around in the evenings. Same goes for gigs. Otherwise, if I'm just about with friends, I have it on me 'til I'm asked the time

i pay a local security firm to provide two bouncers to escort me everytime i go out drinking in town.

they ensure no one comes near me when i make or take a call from my iphone.

they also hold crowds back when i take a photo from my iphone.

they both wear those ear pieces in their ear and i'm sure they're listening to my calls but for the peace of mind its worth it.

    :pac:

Be careful, one day you'll meet someone who wants it.

You mean the Iphone isnt connected to the Bouncers Via an elaborate tether line to the ear pieces? I think thats your achilles heel Tiger

Which lasers muffin? The red dot ones that have many comical uses such as pointing it in peoples eyes or on the back of the head of the bus driver? Or the other lasers that cut through things like the one used in James Bond?

I would like to state officially that I do not own an iPhone 4. No matter what rumor you hear I don't own one. No point in robbing me or breaking into my house. I am typing this in the local library as I don't own a PC or a laptop either. :)

I have a dual iPhone/gun holster so I can show off my fashionable consumer electronic device but also let the local undesirables know I am packing serious heat in case they get any ideas.

However, I am also a cautious man OP; if I sense serious danger in the air, I place my iPhone in a condom and swallow it for retrieval later on.

Would have been very handy in this unfortunate case. A cautionary tale.

It's a mobile phone. That doesn't mean you use it in a caravan.
