quick question lads, what wood be the nrom for waiting time for second gun licence.??????? (the frist one took a year)...... cheers.

I dont know wether it is the norm or not but mine took only 3 days. All depends on the station, guard and of course the type of gun (I imagine a pistol for instance would take longer than a shotgun). Really is the luck of the draw.

New gun application should take no more than 12 weeks(unrestricted), any longer something has gone wrong. What type of gun r you going for. Just a tip once you have submitted your application to your local station if you dont get a letter confirming they have recieved the application with in say 2 weeks then follow it up with the local station. In my experience it means they have not processed the application. I applied for a new gun in the summer it took 17 weeks from start to finnish but when I followed up with the NARGC and the super Intendents office I discovered my local station only sent it on to them week 16.

I applied for my second license on 13th january and received grant letter yesterday. The application was a week with the local before he came to check for gun safe.

i agree with mauser, its the local station who causes delays, i was having bother so i went and made an appointment with the super and after my meeting had my gun in 7 days:D happy days until the local gaurd sees i have no tax on the jeep:eek:
