Just thought it would be good to have a thread with the light-hearted/humorous moments during the campaign. It promises to be an interesting few weeks and there's bound to be a few gaffs along the way.

To start with, I just noticed this tweet from RTÉ...
The campaign vehicle used by outgoing Dublin South FF TD Chris Andrews has been clamped in Merrion Square

    Accompanied by this photo.

The campaign is off to a great start, then. :pac:

Now that is what I would call Job satisfaction for a car clamper :)

Pretty sure I just heard the ceann comhairle introduce Brian Cowen as "Taoiseach Bertie Ahern" as Cowen stood up to make his farewell speech!

Yup, was looking for a thread about the current goings-on and wasn't sure where to post it.

Vincent Brown suggested to Pat Rabitte on his TV show last night that Joan Burton might have been suffering from a bout of Pre-Ministerial Tension last week. Pat had a good laugh at the suggestion.

The funniest thing so far, Joan herself ending any hope she had of getting a ministry on Vincent Brown last week. Political Trainwreck of the year.

This one put a smile on my face: The OH roaring, that (I quote) 'Gerry Adams has no clue about politics'...and one moment later a poll on the telly: Gerry Adams 31%, Enda Kenny 27%. :D:D:D

Best quote so far on "the 11th hour" by Liam Fay last night about Micheal Martin's front bench line up. "A bit of old guard, a bit of new guard, and a big dollop of blackguard"
