So my little JRT pup is 4 months now and doing great. The girl from the rescue where i got him rang last week and said another JRT male came in and is looking for a home. He's approx. 1.5 years old and neutered. He's a darling little thing.

He's very nervous though had an awfull start in life. Was never shown any TLC or a soft hand till now. I've been to see him twice and he's coming on great.

I'd really love to take him but is it too soon? I know people say you should wait a year to get another dog but I cant get this little guy out of my head. He is great with other dogs, and my little fella just loves playing with other dogs too..

    Any opinions?

P.S every time I close my eyes all I see are his big sad eyes.:(

I don't see why you have to wait for one year (never heard of that one before) and I would have thought that it would be easier for your puppy to adjust to having another dog while he was still quite young (though again its not a big deal when they are adults). It will help with your puppys socialisation as well as being doggie company for her.

Talk to the rescue and see what they advise and if they give you the go ahead I don't see any problem :) Well done you for rescuing by the way!

Why dont you foster him for awhile and see how they both get on.
