IPHONE 3gs broken will insurance replace?

hi My iphone 3gs 16gig is unfixable and i have lifeline insurance i have been told by the shops that they dont stock this phone anymore if so will they give me the iphone 4 im hoping they will any one have any experience in this

my mrs had a 3g and it broke last year...

they rang and asked her if she wanted to upgrade to 4g and she said no.

A couple of days later a 3gs was delivered

I had a 3g and it was damaged. The insurance rang me asking me to upgrade to the 3gs for a special discounted price (I can't remember it was over a year ago but about €100). I said no and a new 3gs arrived 2 days later

the shops dont stock the 16gb 3gs anymore, but there would be reserve stock for insurance claims, so no, they wont give you a 4 under an insurance claim if they have a 3gs available.
