May have been mentioned somewhere but I thought it could do with it's own thread.

Extreme Sports, channel 419 on Sky are showing a load of WEC events over this week. Maybe next week too but can't check the schedules that far ahead.

WEC 44, 45, 46, 47 are all showing from 11pm on Wednesday and every day afterwards. Not sure if they're just a few of the best fights or if they're showing in different parts because they only seem to be in 1 hour segments.

I've just set the Sky+ to record everything and I'll dump the excess afterwards. Monday at 11 they jump back to WEC 38.

HAven't seen it on that channel but if it's the same edit as the downloads then it's worse still as more often than not they air "we now join this match in the 2nd round" WTF like , why bother

    :D

I posted on Marshall Zelaznik's Facebook page asking if he knew anything about it. He's in charge of UK TV deals so if Extreme Sports have a deal to show WEC events he'd know about it.

Unfortunately I did it from my phone, which has an over anxious spell checker. So instead of calling Marshall, I called him Marshmallow...

They advertised a WEC event last night but when I turned it on there was an M-1 challenge on.

Finally Extreme Sports have sorted it out.

The issue was with Extreme Sports getting the footage and they jumped the gun by listing on the schedules early. It's resolved now though and WEC 36 to 40 are showing between Monday and Friday at 11pm and it definitely worked this week, I'm watching the recording of 36 now.

    Hi all

I work for the Extreme Sports Channel in the UK.

We had several issues with this series that meant we had to delay the showing of the WEC. I understand that WEC was on our programme guide but not shown. Sorry about that mix up. It was my fault. It is correct now. We were originally going to cut the shows into 1 hour slots. However, this didn’t quite work so we later decided to show each event in its entirety.

Personally, I am a huge MMA fan so I’m very pleased that the UK & Ireland TV audience will get to see, albeit belatedly, how good the WEC was.

Again, sorry about the mix up at the start dates. I hope all MMA fans will enjoy these fantastic events. They will be shown a lot on the channel in the next year so if you have missed any, you'll have plenty of opportunities to view again.

We will be showing WEC 36 to WEC 48 on Extreme Chl 419 sky/529 Virgin Media. WEC will continue in Weeknights at 2300. The events will also be repeated at the weekend. WEC 47 and 48 transmission has been delayed. We will air those in March (9th & 10th)
