Ànyone watch this last night on RTE2? What did you think?

It's unfair to judge based on a single episode but half an hour of Dunphy & O'Toole and Elaine Byrne talking about what they'd have done but didn't do didn't seem to matter a damn really considering that we probably should be querying those who are, in fact, going forward for election and who can make a real difference to the country. They all made some good points and I do have time for Eamonn & Fintan but it just struck me as PrimeTime let off the leash a bit. Turning over to Vincent Brown was far better afterwards.

The programme will get better. I thought Elaine Byrne was the real star.

She called Dunphy and O'Toole "angry middle aged men" which really upset Dunphy.

The "angle" this program seems to be taking, is to tackle serious issues while treating the politicians in a more irreverent way than usual, much as comedians sometimes do.

More of that I say; if these people want respect they have to earn it first.
