Awesome show!....genuinely funny with great characters. And you could tell the cast enjoyed working with each other, I thought the earlier seasons were better, got a bit stale towards the end.....even the endless repeats never fail to make you smile

the outtakes on youtube are hilarious, and that episode where they broke the 4th wall was brilliant, where Will goes back to Philly and has to fight a bully and he refers to him as "that big dude who be spinnin' me over his head in the opening credits"

If only they could put the fresh prince as taoiseach of Ireland... he'd bring his much needed street smartz and common sense to politics and the economy to bring this country back on track to where it should be.

Plus it would be funny to see him answering questions. They could bring his uncle and Carlton along to help him.

I always like Carlton, Phil and Jeffrey more than Will, even though he was the main star.

The three of them were perfect foils in their own way.

I loved this show in the 90's too. Used to be on BBC2 around 625 on a Monday.

That scene where Wills father walks out which somebody has posted a link to is one of the most powerful scenes in any TV show I have ever seen. I remember seeing that scene for the first time and being shocked that the fresh prince could pull off a scene so touching and different from its usual tone. Also showed that Will Smith really did have great acting ability beyond the usual fresh prince antics.

Fresh Prince definitely had something about it: The Carlton - Will relationship, Will - Uncle Phil Relationship, Geoffrey's relationship with the whole family, Will - Ashley relationship were all great.

Even today, I still regularly look up the fresh prince on youtube to take in some clips - A real quality show

I remember there was a similar serious scene where Will flexed his acting muscles. It was after Will and Carlton got pulled over by the police while driving Uncle Phil's car.

Will and Carlton just thought it was a random check, but Phil explained that when he was young he used to think he was being stopped randomly as well.

The unspoken truth was that the police stopped them purely because they were black and had a nice car. Must youtube it

I saw this the other week and it brought me to tears tbh.

I loved this show as a kid but it's only now when I watch repeats on Channel One that I realise just how good a show it was. Simply top class.
