Is it true that there is a 100X Bus Eireann service Dublin - Dundalk every hour, 24 hours a day? I'll need to travel this route at 2am this week if possible.

Also how is this route sustainable? I'd imagine the buses are empty in the middle of night.

I suppose you wouldn't consider looking up the timetable?

No it is not true, there is no longer a bus every hour from Dublin to Dundalk, only the Dublin -Belfast bus via Dundalk every 2 hours during the night.

The 100X starts at 6.40am and runs every hour from Wilton Terrace untill 11.40pm.

the "001/200/240" runs via Dundalk at 02.25, 04.25, 06.25, 07.20, 09.35, 11.35 13.35 x2, 19.35 x2, 21.35 and 00.25, but all these are "pick-up only" so passengers from dublin should not be allowed board these busses if going to Dundalk. Technically you would have to travel to Newry and get the next bus back to Dundalk.
