Disneyland Paris

I'm looking at heading over sometime in May if possible. Now, the prices to stay in one of the Disney hotels is just way too dear for me. So do you know where you can stay so that you're near the park yet can get a shuttle bus or something to it?

    Thanks,
    Martin.

Hi, do you have a budget in mind?
And will you be visiting Paris or do you have to stay near the Park?

Well I don't want to be spending too much. We will be visiting Paris but mainly based around Disneyland.

You should check hotels in Noisy le Grand here
It's a nice area, you should check the RER A line and see the areas the train goes through and look at hotels in the area.
Here is the train map you should type "hotels near ..." and the RER stop you want to stay at. Marne la Valee isn't far from Noisy le Grand (about 20 minutes by train)

If you want to see Paris as well, you could stay in the city. Disneyland is well served with the RER A suburban train line, you could be there in 40 minutes. Around Gare de Lyon there are several budget hotels, and it is a quite central Parisian district, convenient to see the sights. The hop-on hop-off bus also stops here. You could stay further in the center, but hotels tend to be more expensive there.

TBH, By the time you factor in hotel and train costs it is usually cheaper to book a package.

There are self catering apartments beside the Disney hotels that are great value. I forget the name of them but I booked them for a family of six last year. They even had a pool in the complex. I'll check in the morning about more detail.

    The nearest non-disney hotels are:
    Thomas Cook Explorers
    Dream Castle
    Magic Circus
    Kyriad
All 8 minutes by free shuttle bus from the resort

Have heard that Disney launching a sale in next day or so - so might be worthwhile checking Disney again
